Born and raised in Amish country in the heartland of Ohio, Cynthia attended Kent State University.

After receiving her Bachelor’s of Art in television with a concentration in film, she moved to Los Angeles and started her Hollywood career working in physical production on Contact with Brad Pitt, a short 30 minute film for Chanticleer Films and Showtime Networks.  She was a PA on Showgirls, and served as an Assistant Property Master on A Part of The Family.

For 10 years she worked freelance for many different entertainment companies as a Script Coordinator and/or transcriber through Barbara’s Place. These companies include: CBS, Columbia, Paramount, Universal, Castle Rock, Intermedia, Imagine Entertainment, Laura Ziskin Productions, Red Wagon, Mace Neufeld Productions, Scott Rudin, Parkway Productions, Beacon Entertainment, Faye Dunaway, Corbin Bernsen, Dwight Yokum, Debbie Reynolds, New Regency, Mutual Film Company & TNT Originals, and on a vast number of features and TV projects. For the past 20 years, Cynthia has been an assistant to screenwriter  Rospo Pallenberg (Excalibur, Exorcist 2).

For the past 15 years Cynthia has been working for actor Bill Pullman as a personal assistant.

Her screenplay The Fence co-written with Kimberly Brinson was a semi-finalist for the Best Emerging Narrative award at IFP Market 2005, and was a finalist for the Gordon Parks award at IFP Market 2005.

Honeymoon, a broad comedy feature script, has won a “Consider” from Creative Screenwriting Magazine, and placed as a quarterfinalist at the Screenwriting Expo 5 contest, and made it to the semi-final round at the Buffalo/Niagara Film Festival.

Between, her supernatural horror script, placed in the semifinals at the ScriptShark Insider 2007 contest and in October 2008, finished in the quarterfinals at the Writers on the Storm III contest.

My Amish Summer, her new comedy script is in pre-production stage with Bill Pullman as an executive producer. The project is just getting to its feet and casting commitments are being gathered.

Cynthia is the host of a YouTube show called In Like Cyn. The selfie reality show takes you on a ride of her life.

Another YouTube offering is Man Cave with Jarrett Summers and Jason Andrew Long. There will be more information and a dedicated page coming about this project.
