Cyn: This week – we’re taking a trip – a trip to the Oscars! Ever since I was a little kid growing up I loved movies so much and now I have an opportunity to go to the Oscars! It’s so exciting.
Cyn VO: In my quest to see each and every film nominated one biggie had eluded me – Star Wars.
TITLE: Dolby Theatre – Hollywood & Highland
Cyn VO: So I went to Hollywood and Highland. Where the Dolby Theater is located. The red carpet was in day 5 of being rolled out. It was fun to see the massive preparation in progress. The Oscars were only two days away.
TITLE: The Oscars!
Cyn: Okay, so I had no idea I was going to make this out to be an episode because I was too excited to go to the Oscars I didn’t think about In Like Cyn. But I’ve got some good footage coming at you. We are going to check out each of the nominated films and then I’m going to take you on a look inside the Governor’s Ball.
Cyn VO: Ever since I was a young Mennonite girl growing up in rural Ohio’s Amish country – movies have been more than just an escape to me. Movies were my best friends. So naturally my love for the Oscars – and the celebration of artistic achievement in film – puts me alongside billions of other film lovers. These are my homemade Oscar covers.
Cyn VO: In the Oscar program – each film has a two page spread listing the nominations and filled with two photos that reveal the film’s premise with artist simplicity. Here are all the nominated films in alphabetical order. Starting with Amy –
