Hello hello and welcome to another episode of In Like Cyn.

Today is March 1st, and I am on day 1 of a 30 day Juice Fast.

And ah, we’re going to have some juicing. We are going to have some sprouting. This is a sprouting tray. So we’ll have some live sprouted greens. And walnuts. Chia seeds. So we’re going to have some various seeds and nuts that are going to supplement. But it’s mostly going to be vegetable juices, fruit juices. The Mean Green juice is going to be one of my staples.

Here we go… 30 Days!

Let’s go grocery shopping!

S.A.D. – SAD! The Standard American Diet. We have become a nation that consumes food that has been processed, doused in oils and coated in sugar. Food in this condition doesn’t give our bodies the live enzymes it requires to regenerate our cells, and keep us young. But fruits and vegetables in raw form DO provide these live enzymes, and a whole host of micronutrients. So I’m suggesting you forgo that box of cereal or that bag of chips and that you take food that still comes in its original God package! Not a box or a bag.

The main drink in my arsenal for this Juice Fast is going to be what’s known as “The Mean Green.” But I’m also going to be doing a lot of citrus, including grapefruit.

So we got everything we need for the Juice fast. Everything we need for the Juice Fast, so, we just have to go home, get it all prepared and ready for this week. And we’re going to have 30 Days of juicing. No food, just juicing.

This whole process is a little messy. Your kitchen’s going to smell like — the smell right now is so fresh and wonderful. It really is a fresh, wonderful smell.

So what the Mean Green is made of – it’s made of Spinach or Kale or Chard. A main green. And then apple. I put in a little bit of carrot. It will improve my eyesight. And then cucumber. I put in a little bit of bell pepper. It helps regenerate your skin. And then the lemon. And the ginger. And the celery. And so the grapefruit will be its own drink. And the carrot and the orange will go together as one drink. So this right here, is essentially all the food that I’m going to take in today.

You can change the drink up. One week you can add in some beet root. One week you can add in some broccoli. One week you can substitute spinach. Add radishes. You’re going to have to experiment with the taste. You can add in essentially any vegetable.

Seeds and nuts can enhance your fast. We have this. [Raw Shelled Hemp Seed hearts}. Yeah, this is what real food looks like. Um, and doing a little bit of supplementing in with this back here [a collection of nuts and seeds]. Chia Seeds. Hemp Seeds. And soybeans. Pumpkin Seed. Edamame (dried). And ah – sunflower. And they’re all, mostly raw. A few of them have been roasted. And also some flax seed. And those I get really, really small amounts of each day.

It’s Saturday morning and I’m really hungry. And I’m on Day 7 of this Juice Fast. And ah, I don’t really have any make-up on, so this is me without make-up. Hello, good morning.

One of the best things that you could do is to like take your kale — the main components of your Mean Green, your Kale and your celery, and ginger and lemon, and you keep them in like one place. Like get a bunch of days ready. Like not chopping it up yet. But what I want you to do is like wash all of the vegetables, and store them into containers, because they’re gonna last a lot longer… Like this is some spinach, and you can see this spinach is already starting to turn. Um, it’s starting to turn. And that is happening because I didn’t prepare that food when I brought it home from the grocery store. And um, I didn’t have enough containers. So I’m going to go to the store and buy a couple more containers so that I can have my food prepared and ready. Um, I suggest that you don’t chop it up until the actual time that you’re going to juice it. It’s going to be a lot fresher that way.

Okay, so it is April 2nd today and I’m getting this video ready to go out to ya’all.

What happened to me on 30 days of Juice?

Well I have dropped 27 pounds.

You’ll find that once you get into that Mean Green, you’re going to have a taste. You’re going to start to crave vegetables! This is a good thing! Didn’t your mother always tell you, Eat Your Vegetables!

I bought this shirt, but it still doesn’t fit, but it kinda fits!

Get yourself a motivation. Find yourself some motivations in there to get through these 30 days. Some people may need 60 days. Some people may only need 7 days or 10 days. Like you figure out what it is you need.

You’ll find that once you get into that Mean Green, you’re going to have a taste. You’re going to start to crave vegetables! This is a good thing! Didn’t your mother always tell you, Eat Your Vegetables!

I wanna recommend this book, okay: Harvey Diamond’s “Fit For Life Not Fat For Life.” Okay this is one of my source materials for doing my Juice Fast.

You go to Netflix. And you watch a documentary by Joe Cross called, “Fat, Sick and Nearly Dead.” And there’s also a Part 2 [“Fat, Sick and Nearly Dead 2”] Both are available streaming on Netflix. Joe Cross will show you first hand, bit by bit, what happens to somebody when they go on a 30 day or 60 day juice fast.

Just do it! Do it! It’s like get some vegetables and do it. Do it!
